Instant Pot Pepper Steak

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lbs beef sirloin cut into strips
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 2 bell peppers sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp water
  • Salt to taste

Method
 

  1. Sear beef in Instant Pot on sauté mode. Set aside.
  2. Sauté onions and bell peppers, add garlic.
  3. Add broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  4. Return beef. Pressure cook 15 minutes on high. Natural release 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in cornstarch slurry to thicken sauce.
  6. Serve hot with rice, potatoes, or noodles.

Notes

You can set aside the sauteed onions and bell peppers and add them before adding the cornstarch slurry for more crunchy bites.
