  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 lb ground meat
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water

Method

  1. Heat a pan over medium heat and add olive oil. Add ground meat and cook until fully browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  2. Add garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir well and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a sheet pan.
  4. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the pan.
  5. Place a layer of lasagna noodles over the sauce, adjusting or breaking them to fit.
  6. Add a layer of cooked meat, followed by ricotta, mozzarella, and a small amount of sauce.
  7. Repeat layers of noodles, meat, cheese, and sauce until all ingredients are used.
  8. Finish with a layer of sauce and top with remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  9. Pour water around the edges of the pan to help cook the noodles.
  10. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  11. Remove foil and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  12. Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Oven-ready noodles can be used to save time
